It depends.If you plan on being with your bird all day,it's okay to buy only one.But if you are only going to be with
your budgie for a short time,it's best to get him/her a companion.

At an early age, you should clip their wings to prevent overgrowing and giving it more weight to carry.When they're older,
you can clip their wings and stand them on your shoulders.
